Versatility Is Important in Border Collies!
What we are planning for the future
We want to compete with Violet in more rally, start in agility and find a consistent place to train for herding after puppies. I’d like to get her therapy dog cert as well, but I’m not going to put too much on between her, my other dog and a potential new addition. Long term, I am working towards her BCSA Versatility title.
For Flirt, We are going to keep practicing showmanship as a juniors dog this year. I’m letting her grow out some more before we get serious in the show ring. She’s a very versatile girl and loves to do all the things! End goal is to get versatility with our breed club.
Our kids are also very involved with learning how to train and compete in sports with our dogs. It's more important to me that the dogs and the kids learn to work together and build their foundations properly as a team than getting the title ASAP.
